Film Festival

The Gramado Film Festival has turned the spotlight towards the Serra Gaúcha, establishing Gramado as one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in all of Brazil and the Gramado attraction that brings the most reputation and spontaneous media coverage to the municipality. Throughout its journey, the event has followed all phases of Brazilian cinema, becoming a pioneer and reference in holding such events on national territory. Since the first edition, which celebrated “Toda Nudez Será Castigada” by Arnaldo Jabor in 1973, over a thousand Kikitos have been distributed among film professionals who won the Festival in different categories. In addition to celebrating Brazilian and Gaúcho production, the event also includes a competitive showcase of Ibero-American films since 1992. The Oscarito, Eduardo Abelin, Kikito de Cristal, and Cidade de Gramado trophies pay tribute to actors, filmmakers, and personalities connected to cinema.
